Weber, Virginia Bohnert (nee Blessing)

PERRYVILLE, Mo. -- Virginia "Ginny" Bohnert Weber, 87, of Perryville died Wednesday, May 4, 2005, at Perry County Nursing Home.

She was born July 8, 1917, in Perry County, Mo., daughter of Fred and Ida Tucker Blessing. She and Edgar Leo Bohnert were married June 1, 1940. He died June 19, 1977. She and Adolph "Jim" Weber were married Aug. 1, 1981. He died April 9, 2001.

Weber had been a cafeteria worker at Perry County School District. She was a member of St. Vincent de Paul Catholic Church and American Legion Auxiliary.

Survivors include two sons, Edward Bohnert of Arnold, Mo., Wayne Bohnert of Perryville; a daughter, Velda Unterreiner of Perryville; two brothers, Edgar Blessing of Maumee, Ohio, Francis Blessing of Arnold; two sisters, Esther Hornbuckle of Emerald Hills, Calif., Lillian Kelley of St. Louis; six grandchildren; and eight great-grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by a daughter, two brothers and two sisters.

Friends may call at Young and Sons Funeral Home from 5 to 9 p.m. Friday, and Saturday from 6:30 to 9:30 a.m. The wake will be at 5:30 p.m. Friday. The rosary will be recited at 8:30 a.m. Saturday.

Funeral Mass will be at 10 a.m. Saturday at St. Vincent de Paul Church. Burial will be in Mount Hope Cemetery.

A funeral Mass will be held Saturday, May 7th, 2005 for 87-year-old Virginia "Ginny" Bohnert Weber of Perryville, who died today (Wednesday, May 4th, 2005) at the Perry County Nursing Home.

She was born July 8th, 1917 in Perry County, the daughter of Fred and Ida (Tucker) Blessing, who both preceded her in death.

She married Edgar Leo Bohnert June 1st, 1940. He preceded her in death.

She married Adolph "Jim" Weber August 1st, 1981. He preceded her in death.

Survivors include two sons and daughters in law, Edward and Judy Bohnert of Arnold, Wayne and Janette Bohnert of Perryville; a daughter and son in law, Velda and James Unterreiner of Perryville; two brothers, Edgar Blessing of Maumee, OH, and Francis Blessing of Arnold; two sisters, Esther Hornbuckle of Emerald Hills, CA, and Lillian Kelley of St. Louis; six grandchildren and eight great grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by a daughter, Wanda Boxdorfer; two brothers, Harold and Clyde; two sisters, Pearl and Gertrude.

She was a cafeteria worker at PCSD #32. She was a member of the St. Vincent de Paul Catholic Church, and the American Legion Auxiliary. She loved to cook, play cards, garden and square dance.

Visitation is scheduled 5-9 p.m. Friday, May 6th, and 6:30-9:30 a.m. Saturday, May 7th, at the Young and Sons Chapel in Perryville. Catholic Wake is Friday at 5:30 p.m., and the rosary will be recited Saturday at 8:30 a.m. at the Chapel

A funeral Mass for 87-year-old Virginia "Ginny" Bohnert Weber of Perryville will be held 10 a.m. Saturday, May 7th at the St. Vincent de Paul Catholic Church. The Rev. Bill Thess will officiate. Burial will be in the Mount Hope cemetery
