Welker, Leroy Jacob
MARBLE HILL, Mo. -- Leroy Welker, 74, of Marble Hill died Wednesday, Jan. 28, 2004, at his home.
He was born May 24, 1929, near Advance, Mo., son of Barney and Mae Devenport Welker. He and Doris Jean Trentham were married Dec. 23, 1950.
Welker was a self-employed mechanic.
Survivors include his wife; four sons, Danny and Ronald Welker of Marble Hill, David Welker of Sikeston, Mo., John D. Welker of Patton, Mo.; a daughter, Rhonda Toombs of Patton; a brother, Virgil Welker of Marble Hill; three sisters, Adell Garland, Iva Padgett of Marble Hill, Madine Atchison of Glenallen, Mo.; and 11 grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by four brothers and two sisters.
Friends may call at Liley Funeral Home in Marble Hill from 4 to 8 p.m. today.
The funeral will be at 1 p.m. Saturday at the funeral home, with the Revs. Jeff Wells and Clifton Trentham officiating. Burial will be in Plainview Cemetery near Marble Hill.
