Welker, Loy S.
PATTON, Mo. -- Loy S. Welker, 84, of St. Peters, Mo., died Sunday, Dec. 29, 2002, at St. Charlevoix Nursing Center in St. Charles, Mo.
He was born Aug. 7, 1918, at Patton, son of Pola B. and Mary Cook Welker. He and Grace Statler were married in May 1937. She died Jan. 3, 1997.
Welker retired from McDonnell-Douglas in St. Louis. He was a member of Reagan Chapel United Methodist Church.
Survivors include two sons, Wendell Welker of Farmington, Mo.; Lonnie Welker of St. Peters; a daughter, Nelda Parris of St. Peters; a brother, Coy Welker of St. Charles; two sisters, Grace Sharrock of Jackson, Clara Fadler of Cape Girardeau; six grandchildren; 10 great-grandchildren; and a great-great-granddaughter.
He was preceded in death by three brothers and a sister.
Friends may call at Liley Funeral Home in Patton from 4 to 8 p.m. Wednesday.
The funeral will be at 11 a.m. Thursday at the funeral home, with the Rev. W.D. Snyder officiating. Burial will be in Reagan Chapel Cemetery near Patton. .
