Funeral service will be held Thursday, Aug. 30, 2001 for 93-year-old Rudolph T. Welker who died Monday, Aug. 27 at Perry County Nursing Home.

He was born on Feb. 16, 1908 in Friedheim, Mo., the son of the late Vernard and Theresa Laurentius Welker.

He was married to Helen Buchheit on June 5, 1976. She survives in Perryville.

Also surviving is one son, Gerald M. Welker of Hazelwood, Mo.; three stepdaughters, Connie Schrader of St. Peters, Ann Kiefner of Chaffee, and Mary Boxdorfer of Perryville; and two stepsons, Leo Schott of Charleston and John Schott of Chaffee.

Also surviving are 16 step grandchildren and 20 step great grandchildren.

Three brothers and three sisters preceded him in death.

Mr. Welker had been a farmer and a member of St. Vincent de Paul Catholic Church.

Visitation will be from 5-8:00 p.m. on Wednesday, Aug. 29 at the Miller Family Funeral Home in Perryville. A Parish wake will be at 7:00 p.m. Visitation will also be from 6:30-9:50 a.m. on Thursday, Aug. 30. The rosary will be recited at 9:00 a.m. Thursday at the funeral home.

Funeral mass for Rudolph T. Welker will be held at 10 a.m. Thursday, Aug. 30, 2001 at St. Vincent de Paul Catholic Church in Perryville. Rev. Kevin P. Fausz will officiate. Burial will be in St. Michael’s Cemetery in Apple Creek.

Memorials may be sent to Masses or to St. Vincent schools.
