Wendel, Brandon
Brandon Wendel, 28, of Jackson passed away Saturday, May 15, 2010, at his home.
He was born Jan. 7, 1982, in Cape Girardeau, son of Gary and Emilie Propst Wendel. He was married to Nicole Blechle.
Brandon was a 2000 graduate of Jackson High School. In 2005, he graduated from Southeast Missouri State University with a bachelor's degree in business administration. He was formerly employed with CitiStreet Financial Corp. in Boston, and was most recently employed with Imo's Pizza in Cape Girardeau.
He was a member of Emmanuel United Church of Christ, alumni of Delta Chi Fraternity, former Master Counselor of DeMolay and recipient of the Chevalier Degree.
He enjoyed roller hockey while attending Jackson High School, volunteering at Southeast Missouri Hospital and being a St. Louis Cardinal Fan.
Loving survivors include a son, Adin Jacob Wendel; his parents, Gary and Emilie Wendel of Jackson; and paternal grandmother, Allegra Wendel of Oak Ridge. Other loving survivors include aunts, uncles and cousins.
He was preceded in death by his maternal grandparents, Lloyd and Hazel Propst; and paternal grandfather, Jacob Wendel.
Visitation will be from 4 to 8 p.m. today at the chapel of McCombs Funeral Home and Cremation Center in Jackson.
Funeral service will be at 2 p.m. Tuesday at the funeral home, with the Rev. Sam Roethemeyer officiating.
Burial will be in St. James Cemetery near Tilsit.
Memorials may be made to Emmanuel United Church of Christ, OCWM or Emmanuel Mission Fund.
