Wengert, Larry F.
JOLIET, Ill. -- Larry F. Wengert, 67, of Joliet passed away Friday, Oct. 17, 2014, at Presence Saint Joseph Medical Center in Joliet.
He was born and raised in Cape Girardeau, son of Joseph and Venita McAtee Wengert. He graduated from Notre Dame High School, class of 1966.
He was a Shift Coordinator at Dow Chemical Co. in Cape Girardeau 30 years, relocating to Pottstown, Pennsylvania, and then to Joliet, retiring in 1998. He then was employed by Cabot Microelectronics Corp. in Aurora, Illinois, as Operations Associate, retiring in 2010.
He is survived by his mother, Venita M. Wengert; three sisters, Sharon Cassout, Jo A. Hunze and Deborah (Gregg) Crawford; and nieces and nephews, Joseph (Linda) Hunze, Jonathan (Melinda) Hunze, Dana (Shawn) Holland, Kara Crawford and Brandon Crawford.
He was preceded in death by his father, Joseph C. Wengert; and two brothers, Daniel J. Wengert and Kevin P. Wengert.
The funeral will be at 2 p.m. Friday at Cape County Memorial Park Cemetery Mausoleum in Cape Girardeau.
