Werner, Albert O.
Funeral service will be held Sunday, Dec. 17, 2000 for 84-year-old Albert O. Werner, Sr., formerly of Tilsit, Mo., who died Tuesday, Dec. 5 at Lawnwood Regional Medical Center in Fort Pierce, Fla.
He was born on Dec. 30, 1915 in Tilsit, Mo., the son of the late Otto F. and Frieda (Siebert) Werner.
He was married to Mabel R. Madison Keefer. She preceded him in death in 1996.
He was married to Elizabeth Ann Mitten on Sept. 10, 1969. She survives in Florida.
Children surviving are Richard Werner of Moreno Valley, Cal.; Albert Werner of Torrance, Cal.; and Norma Jean Mueller of Frohna.
Three half-brothers and one half-sister survive: Elvera Engert of Oak Ridge; Otto Werner, Jr. of Edwardsville, Ill.; Ervin Werner of Jackson; and Wilfred Werner of Jackson.
Seven grandchildren and five great-grandchildren also survive.
He was preceded in death by two brothers, Norman and Rudi Werner; one step-brother, Joe Sebastian; one sister, Ruby Kassel; one daughter, Frieda Werner; and step-mother Wilhelmina Baer Werner.
He was a member of Trinity Lutheran Church Board of Elders, Finance committee and Trustees; served as an usher at Trinity Lutheran Church; was a World War II Army veteran; and enjoyed working with electronics and fishing.
Visitation will be on Sunday, Dec. 17 from 12:30-1:30 p.m. at Concordia Lutheran Church.
A memorial service for Albert O. Werner, Sr. will be held Sunday, Dec. 17, 2000 at 1:30 p.m. at Concordia Lutheran Church in Frohna. Rev. Wayne Palmer will officiate. Burial will be in the church cemetery.
Memorial preference is to the Concordia Lutheran Building Fund in Frohna.
Young and Sons Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
