A funeral will be held Tuesday, December 23, 2014 for 97-year-old Othmar J. Wibbenmeyer of Perryville who died Friday, December 19, 2014 at the Independence Care Center in Perryville.
He was born November 17, 1917 in Perryville, the son of B. Henry Wibbenmeyer and Julia Buchheit Wibbenmeyer who both preceded him in death.
He married Trula Sauer on April 23, 1945 at Apple Creek; she preceded him in death in 2006.
He is survived by three sons: Marvin Wibbenmeyer of Manchester, Kenneth Wibbenmeyer of Indianapolis, Indiana and Bernard Wibbenmeyer of Perryville; six grandchildren; nine great grandchildren and a brother: Donald Wibbenmeyer of Florissant.
He was also preceded in death by four brothers and a sister.
He was a farmer and a member of St. Maurus Catholic Church in Biehle.
Visitation will be 5-8 p.m. Monday, December 22, 2014 and 6:30-9:30 a.m. Tuesday, December 23, 2014 at the Miller Family Funeral Home in Perryville. The rosary will be recited at 9 a.m. at the funeral home.
A funeral mass for 97-year-old Othmar J. Wibbenmeyer of Perryville will be held at 10 a.m. Tuesday, December 23 at St. Maurus Catholic Church in Biehle. The Rev. Jim French will officiate. Burial will be in the church cemetery.
The family requests memorials to St. Maurus Parish.
