Wibbenmeyer, Theodore Anton

Theodore (Ted) Anton Wibbenmeyer  of St. Charles, age 76, passed away at St. Joseph Health Center on January 13, 2012. Ted was born in Apple Creek, Missouri on September 29, 1935 to the late Stephan Anton and Ida Justine (Buchheit) Wibbenmeyer.

He is survived by his wife of 56 years, Shirley Louise (Cattoor) Wibbenmeyer;  three sons, Dale A. and (Joyce) Wibbenmeyer, Gary A. and (June) Wibbenmeyer of St. Charles, and Curtis P. and (Katie) Wibbenmeyer of Defiance;  six grandchildren Crystal and (Brad) Williams of O’Fallon, Curtis and (Jamie) Wibbenmeyer of Florissant, Janine and (Jim) Besher of Foristell,  Nicholas and (Ana) Wibbenmeyer of St. Charles, Cody and Emma Wibbenmeyer of Defiance; four great grandchildren, Dylan and Logan Williams and Dalton and Lukas Besher; two sisters, Mary Christy of Festus and Jenny Schwartz of Scott City;  and one brother, Val Wibbenmeyer of Ste. Genevieve.

In addition to his parents, Ted was preceded in death by two brothers, Sylvester A. and Anton T. (Tony) Wibbenmeyer; and five sisters, Philomenia T. Laurentius, Rufina C. Martin, Anna J. Lundy, Loretta A. and Dorothy V. Wibbenmeyer.

Ted was a retired 50-year carpenter and was a member of the Carpenter’s Union Local 1987.

Ted donated his body to the St. Louis University School of Medicine.  A memorial mass will be held at St. Cletus Catholic Church, 2705 Zumbehl Road, in St. Charles, Missouri on Saturday, January 28, 2012 officiated by Father Rick Valleroy.  Visitation with the family is from 9:00 to 10:00AM and the mass is at 10:00AM.  A luncheon will follow in the parish hall.

In lieu of flowers, the family requests that memorials be made to the American Lung Association or the charity of one’s choice. In care of Alternative Funeral & Cremation Services.
