Wichern, Hulda L. (nee Kranawetter)
PERRYVILLE, Mo. -- Hulda L. Wichern, 94, of Perryville died Monday, Feb. 2, 2015, at Independence Care Center of Perry County in Perryville.
She was born June 27, 1920, in Jacob, Illinois, daughter of Herman and Rose Stueve Kranawetter. She and Leonard Wichern were married Dec. 26, 1948. He preceded her in death Oct. 8, 1972.
Hulda was a member of Immanuel Lutheran Church in Altenburg, Missouri, Lutheran Women's Missionary League, Senior Citizens Group and Lions Club Auxiliary.
Survivors include two daughters and a son, Shirlene (Calvin) Schaupert and Bob (Pat) Wichern of Perryville and Carol (Duane) Wunderlich of Altenburg; a sister, Emma Enke of Perryville; seven grandchildren, Sherry Seyer, Tim Schaupert, Ryan Wichern, Chad Wichern, Tyson Wunderlich, Rachel Aurelia and Blake Wunderlich; and nine great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her parents, husband, three brothers and two sisters.
Visitation will be from 4 to 8 p.m. today and from 6:30 to 8:30 a.m. Wednesday at Young and Sons East Perry Chapel in Altenburg.
The funeral will be at 10 a.m. Wednesday at Immanuel Church in Altenburg, with the Rev. Mike Gallagher officiating. Burial will be in the church cemetery.
Memorials are preferred to Immanuel Lutheran Church in Altenburg.
