Wilfong, Robert Lee
ADVANCE, Mo. -- Robert Lee Wilfong, 74, of Advance passed away Tuesday, Feb. 24, 2015, at Saint Francis Medical Center in Cape Girardeau.
He was born Oct. 8, 1940, at Bell City, Missouri, son of Orville Lee and Irene McCulley Wilfong. He and Barbara E. Green were married Sept. 5, 1988, in Oklahoma City.
Robert was a veteran of the U.S. Navy.
He worked 25 years at Tinker Air Force Base in Oklahoma City. He later worked as a welder. He was an avid outdoorsman.
Survivors include his wife, Barbara Wilfong of the home; two sons, Eric Wilfong of Moore, Oklahoma, and Neil Wilfong of Beaumont, Texas; a brother, Ron Wilfong; a special grandson, Colton Silman of Advance; and several nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his parents; a daughter, Michelle Wilfong; a brother; and three sisters.
A private memorial service will be held. Burial will be in the Missouri State Veterans Cemetery at a later date.
Morgan Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
