Williams, H. Glenn
H. Glenn Williams, 88, of Jackson died Monday, May 12, 2014, at Monticello House.
He was born Feb. 12, 1926, in Jackson, to Lawrence M. and Vida M. Smith Williams. He and Mildred Seabaugh were married Dec. 22, 1945.
Glenn was a salesman with Agrico Seed and also Harris Motor Co. He was an agent with Old American Insurance Co. many years. He was a member of First Baptist Church and Excelsior Lodge 441 AF&AM in Jackson.
Survivors include his wife; a son, G. Kirk Williams; a daughter Gaye (Len) Swan, all of Jackson; a granddaughter, Gaye Lynn (Col. Ronald) Henry of South Riding, Virginia; two great-grandsons, Brendan and Collin Henry; and two sisters, Evelyn Langhofer of Geneseo, Kansas, and Kay Hoffmeister of Jackson.
He was preceded in death by his parents; a daughter-in-law, Marybeth Williams; two brothers, Junior and L.R. Williams; four sisters, Mae Smith, Betty Cox, Mary Davault and Hazel Reid.
Visitation will be from 10 a.m. until service time Friday at Cracraft-Miller Funeral Home.
The funeral will be at noon Friday at the funeral home, with Dr. Grant F.C. Gillard officiating. Burial will be private in Russell Heights Cemetery.
Memorials may be made to First Baptist Church or First Presbyterian Church in Jackson, or to the Jackson School Foundation.
