Wills, Earl M.

Earl M. Wills, 95, of Millersville passed away Saturday, July 14, 2007, at Southeast Missouri Hospital in Cape Gir­ar­deau.

He was born May 9, 1912, at Daisy, son of the late Ova H. and Shaba Walker Wills. He and Opal Martin were married Dec. 23, 1933, in Jackson.

Earl was a lifelong farmer in the Millersville area. He formerly served on the ASCS Committee and the Farm Bureau Board.

He was a 70-year member of Old Salem United Methodist Church in Millersville, where he formerly served as a trustee and chairman of the finance committee.

Loving survivors include his wife of 73 years, Opal, of Millersville; a son and daughter-in-law, Gene and Ann Wills of Millersville; two grandsons, Alan (Karen) Wills and their children Trent and Alyssa all of Jackson, Brent (Lori) Wills and their children Kyla and Brandon all of Jackson; and a sister, Doris Proctor of Millersville.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by a brother, a stepbrother and two stepsisters.

Friends may call from 4 to 8 p.m. Tuesday, July 17, at McCombs Funeral Home in Jackson.

Funeral service will be at 10 a.m. Wednesday, July 18, at the funeral home, with the Revs. Calvin Brown and Doug McClellan officiating.

Burial will follow in Russell Heights Cemetery in Jackson.

Memorials are suggested to Old Salem United Methodist Church.
