PERRYVILLE, Mo. -- William "Dale" Wingerter, 80, of Perryville died Monday, Oct. 15, 2012, at Saint Francis Medical Center in Cape Girardeau.

Friends may call from 4 to 8 p.m. Wednesday and from 6:30 a.m. to time of service Thursday at Young and Sons Funeral Home.

The funeral will be at 11 a.m. Thursday at the funeral home, with the Rev. Milton Ryan officiating. Burial will be in Mount Hope Cemetery.

A funeral will be held Thursday, October 18, 2012 for 80-year-old William "Dale" Wingerter of Perryville who died October 15, 2012 at St. Francis Medical Center in Cape Girardeau.

He was born June 8, 1932 in McBride, the son of William "Bill" and Mildred (Dallas) Wingerter who both preceded him in death.

He married Marian Jo Plemmons March 16, 1957. She survives in Perryville.

He had been a river pilot.

He was a member of St. Vincent de Paul Catholic Church and American Legion Post 133.

He was a US Army veteran of the Korean Conflict.

He is also survived by three sons: Kevin (Ramona) Wingerter, Kent (Vicki) Wingerter and Kurt (Kim) Wingerter all of Perryville; two brothers: Norman (Dolores) Wingerter and Lester (Carol) Wingerter all of Perryville; four sisters: June Vinson of Frohna, Rose (Bob) Diekamp of O'Fallon, Edna Colin of Perryville and Joan Buchheit of St. Charles; nine grandchildren and one great-grandchild.

He was also preceded in death by two sons: Kerry and Danny Joe Wingerter; two brothers: Don and Richard Wingerter; and a sister: Jean Galloway.

Visitation will be 4-8 p.m. Wednesday, October 17, 2012 and 6:30-11 a.m. Thursday, October 18, 2012 at the Young & Sons Funeral Home in Perryville.

A funeral for 80-year-old William "Dale" Wingerter of Perryville will be held 11 a.m. Thursday, October 18, 2012 at the Young and Sons Funeral Home in Perryville. The Rev. Milton Ryan CM will officiate.

Burial will be in the Mt. Hope Cemetery. Military graveside services provided by American Legion Post 133 and Delta Team.
