Winkler, Dora Louise (nee Lix)
PERRYVILLE, Mo. -- Dora L. Winkler, 105, of Perryville, died Jan. 23, 2011 at a residential care facility in Farmington, Mo.
Visitation will be from 4 to 7 p.m. Thursday at Young and Sons Funeral Home in Perryville.
Funeral service will be at 7 p.m. Thursday at the funeral home with the Rev. Thomas Handrick officiating. Burial will be in the South Hampton Cemetery in New York.

A funeral will be held Thursday, January 27, 2011 for 105-year-old Dora L. Winkler of Perryville who died January 23, 2011.
She was born November 2, 1905 in Yount, the daughter of Henry and Caroline (Louis) Lix who both preceded her in death.
She married to Edmund O. Winkler. He preceded her in death.
She is survived by a nephew: Louis (Metta) Lix Jr.; a niece: Ida Duncan; six great-nieces: Susan (Ray) White, Nancy (Roger) Schremp, Peggy Lix (fiancee Tom Keliher), Judy (Kenny) Hoehn, Debra (Keith) McCrary, and Renee Duncan; a great-nephew: Mark (Dorothy) Lix; many friends and Joleene Henson who took care of her.
She was also preceded in death by six sisters: Mathilda, Sophie, Minnie, Anna, Emma, Ida; and a brother: Louis.
She was a retired kitchen manager at a religious retreat in Long Island, New York. She had been a volunteer at Southampton Hospital in Southampton, New York. She was confirmed in the Lutheran Church and later became a member of the Presbyterian Church with her husband in Bridgehampton, New York.
Visitation will be 4-7 p.m. Thursday, January 27th at the Young and Sons Funeral Home in Perryville.
A funeral for for 105-year-old Dora L. Winkler of Perryville will be held at 7 p.m. Thursday, January 27th at Young & Sons Funeral Home in Perryville. The Rev. Thomas Handrick will officiate.
Burial will be in the Southampton Cemetery in New York.
Memorials are preferred to American Heart Association or the American Cancer Society.
