PERRYVILLE, Mo. -- Irene T. Winkler, 90, of Perryville died Friday, March 4, 2005, at the Perry County Nursing Home.

She was born June 18, 1914, in Old Appleton, Mo., daughter of Louis and Mathilda Welker Wucher. She and William J. Winkler were married Oct. 12, 1938. He died Jan. 27, 1987.

She was a member of St. Vincent de Paul Parish in Perryville and the Ladies Sodality. She had worked as a cook at St. Vincent de Paul School.

Survivors include a daughter, Sharon Ochs of Perryville; a sister, Marcella V. Wucher of Perryville; and two grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by a brother and a grandson.

Friends may call from 5 to 9 p.m. today at Miller Family Funeral Home in Perryville, with parish prayers at 7:30 p.m. Visitation will continue from 6:30 to 9:50 a.m. Monday at the funeral home, with the rosary at 9 a.m.

Funeral will be at 10 a.m. Monday at St. Vincent de Paul Catholic Church, with the Rev. William Thess officiating. Burial will be in Mount Hope Cemetery.

A funeral was held today, Monday, March 7, 2005 for 90-year-old Irene T. Winkler of Perryville who died Friday, March 4 at the Perry County Nursing Home in Perryville.

She was born June 18, 1914 in Old Appleton, the daughter of Louis Wucher and Mathilda Welker Wucher, who both preceded her in death.

She married William J. Winkler October 12, 1938 in Apple Creek. He preceded her in death.

Survivors include: a daughter and son in law, Sharon and Curtis Ochs of Perryville; a sister, Marcella V. Wucher of Perryville and two grandchildren.

A brother, Otto Wucher and a grandson, Justin Ochs, also preceded her in death.

She was a member of the St. Vincent de Paul Parish in Perryville. She was also a member of the Ladies Sodality.

She had been employed as a cook for the St. Vincent de Paul Catholic Schools in Perryville.

A funeral for 90-year-old Irene T. Winkler of Perryville was held today, Monday, March 7 at St. Vincent de Paul Catholic Church in Perryville. Burial was in the Mount Hope Cemetery. The Rev. William Thess officiated.

Memorials may be made to the St. Vincent de Paul Catholic Schools, St. Vincent de Paul Parish or to Southeast Hospice.

The Miller Family Funeral Home was in charge of arrangements.
