Winkler, Laura V. (nee Ruessler)
PERRYVILLE, Mo. -- Laura V. Winkler, 92, of Perryville passed away Wednesday, Nov. 26, 2014, at Independence Care Center in Perryville.
She was born Dec. 3, 1921, at Oak Ridge, to Ferd and Anna Barks Ruessler. She and Bernard Winkler were married April 19, 1947, at Perryville. He preceded her in death Dec. 17, 1997.
Laura had worked at International Shoe Co. She was a member of St. Vincent de Paul Catholic Church in Perryville.
Survivors include a daughter, Jean (Bob) Brayfield of Perryville; two sons, Larry (Charlyn) Winkler of Perryville, Terry (Karen) Winkler of Perryville; nine grandchildren; five stepgrandchildren; 14 great-grandchildren; and five great-stepgrandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her parents, husband and two children, Randy Winkler and Jane Winkler.
Visitation will be from 5 to 9 p.m. today at Miller Family Funeral Home. Parish prayers will be at 7:30. The rosary will be recited at 10 a.m. Saturday at the funeral home.
Funeral Mass will be at 11 a.m. Saturday at St. Vincent de Paul Church, with the Rev. Milton Ryan officiating. Burial will be in Mount Hope Cemetery.
Memorials may be made to Masses or the American Heart Association.
