Winkler, LeRoy A.
Funeral service will be held Wednesday, Aug. 6, 2003 for 64-year-old LeRoy A. Winkler of Overland, formerly of Perryville, who died Monday, Aug. 4 at his residence.
He was born on Dec. 27, 1938 in Perryville, the son of the late Herman and Florine (Lappe) Winkler.
He as married to (Velda) Fay Winkler on July 26, 1958. She survives in Overland.
One son and daughter-in-law survive, James E. and Deborah Winkler of Overland.
Two sisters survive, Rose, Mrs. Gilbert Triller, of Perryville; and Shirley, Mrs. Howard Franklin, of Florissant.
A mother-in-law, Geraldine Berkbigler, survives in Perryville.
Two grandchildren also survive, Patrick and Angela Winkler.
Two brothers, Eugene and Robert Winkler, and one infant grandchild preceded him in death.
He was a member of UAW and the Overland Moose Lodge No. 1948.
Visitation will be Tuesday, Aug. 5 from 3:00-9:00 p.m. at the Baumann Funeral Home in Overland. He will then rest in state at Young and Sons Chapel in Perryville on Wednesday, Aug. 6 from 12:00-1:30 p.m.
Funeral Mass for LeRoy A. Winkler will be held Wednesday at 2:00 p.m. at St. Vincent de Paul Catholic Church. Rev. Kevin Fausz CM will officiate. Burial will be in the Mt. Hope Cemetery.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Make Wish Foundation.
