Winkler, Margaret A. "Peggy" (nee Kave)

Margaret A. “Peggy” Winkler, 94, of Jackson passed away Friday, April 05, 2013 at the Monticello House in Jackson.

She was born June 29, 1918, in Beatrice, NE, daughter of Roy M. and Jeanette B. Hollis Kave. She and William George were married and had their four children before his passing. She later married Joseph Stoverink and Anton “Tony” Winkler, who both preceded her in death.

Peggy was a member of Immaculate Conception Church in Jackson.

Loving survivors include two daughters, Kim (Bill) Horner and Linda (Gary) Littlepage, both of Jackson; a daughter-in-law, Teresa George of Altenburg, MO; seven grandchildren, Christopher (Norleen) Sharp of Columbia, James Langston of Jackson, Ronald Langston of Little Rock, AR, William (Sandra) Horner of Dallas, TX, Brad (Gina) Horner of St. Louis, Dana (Matthew) Schonhoff of Sikeston, and Loni Littlepage of College Station, TX; a step-son, Jerry (Mary) Winkler of Jackson; a step-daughter, Betty (Louis) Merritt of Woodland Hills, CA; seven great-grandchildren; and four step-grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by a son, Steve S. George and an infant son Donald R. George.

Friends may call Sunday, April 7, 2013 from 2-6 PM at McCombs Funeral Home & Cremation Center in Jackson. Parish prayers will be held at 5 PM.

Funeral Mass will be Monday, April 8, 2013, at 10 AM, at Immaculate Conception Church, with the Father Harth officiating.

Interment will follow in Russell Heights Cemetery in Jackson.

The family would like to give special thanks to the staff at the Monticello House and the staff at Southeast Hospice.

Memorials may be made to Southeast Hospice.
