BIEHLE, Mo. -- Elliott L. Winschel, 78, of Biehle died Tuesday, June 21, 2011, at his home. He was born Aug. 2, 1932, in Perry County, Mo., son of John Henry and Regina Amschler Winschel. He and Rose Mary Chappius were married June 7, 1958. Survivors include his wife; two sons, Dwayne (Bonnie) Winschel of Scott City, Kevin (Cheryl) Winschel of Biehle; two daughters, Charlotte (Kevin) Robinson of Perryville, Mo., Sharon (Sean) Unterreiner of St. ...

A funeral will be held Friday, June 24th, 2011 for 78-year-old Elliot Winschel of Biehle, who died Tuesday, June 21st, 2011 at his residence.

He was born August 2nd, 1932 in Perry County, the son of John and Regina (Amschler) Winschel. They preceded him in death.

He is survived by two sons and two daughters; Dwayne (Bonnie) Winschel of Scott City, Kevin (Cheryl) Winschel of Biehle, Charlotte (Kevin) Robinson of Perryville, Sharon (Sean) Unterreiner of St. Louis, two brothers and four sisters; Herbert (Ethel) Winschel of Apple Creek, Rita (Gerald) Moll of Perryville, Celestine (Joseph) Moll of Biehle, Patrick (Judy) Winschel of Perryville, Delores (Chalmer) Berkbuegler of Perryville, Natalie (Pat) Helfer of St. Louis, and seven grandchildren; Bret, Kaylie, Kelsey, Dalton, Kirsten, Augusta and Trence.

He was preceded in death by his parents and one granddaughter; Stacie Lynn.

Mr. Winschel was a mechanic at Saberliner and a farmer of Livestock and Agriculture. He was a member of St. Maurus Catholic Church in Biehle and National Guard.

Visitation will be held at Young & Sons Funeral Home on Thursday, June 23 from 4:00 - 9:00 pm with a Catholic Wake at 5:00 pm. Visitation will continue on Friday from 6:30 - 9:15 am with a rosary at 8:15 am. Funeral Mass will be held on Friday at St. Maurus Catholic Church in Biehle at 10:00 am with Rev. Tony Dattilo officiating.

Burial in the Church Cemetery.

Memorials are preferred for Crown Hospice or St. Maurus Building Fund.
