Woeltje, Ella Louise (nee Chapman)

Ella Louise Woeltje age 91 of Jackson died Sat, Feb 9, 2013 at the Monticello House in Jackson. She was born May 9, 1921 daughter of William and Sloma Cook Chapman. She married Paul G. Huffman in 1940 and Dale Woeltje Sr in 1957. They preceded her in death.

She was a member of Connection Point General Baptist Church in Jackson where she formerly taught Sunday School and was active in the fundraising. Louise was baptized in the Jordan River at Israel. She retired in 1991 from Southeast Hospital after 24 years of employment as a CNA.

Loving survivors include 5 sons, Paul (Carla) Huffman of Oak Ridge, Ronnie (Karen) Huffman of Cape Girardeau, Gary (Onzie) Huffman of Oak Ridge, Dale (Mary) Woeltje Jr of Jackson, Glenn (Tammy) Woeltje of Jackson, TN; 1 daughter, Evelyn Skinner of Lexington, KY; 2 sisters, Gladys Phelps of Overland, MO and Opal Gast of Whitewater, MO; daughter-in-law, Kay Huffman of Omaha, NE; 21 grandchildren, 28 great grandchildren and 10 great-great grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by a son, Earl Huffman; son-in-law, Jim Skinner; 2 brothers and 3 sisters.

Visitation will be 5-8pm Tues at McCombs Funeral Home and Cremation Center in Jackson and 10-11am Wed at Connection Point General Baptist Church in Jackson.

The funeral service will be 11am at the church with Rev Kenny Trentham officiating.

Burial will follow in Russell Heights Cemetery.
