PERRYVILLE, Mo. -- Eldon Yamnitz, 86, of Perryville died Tuesday, March 25, 2014. Visitation will be from 4 to 8 p.m. Friday and 6:30 a.m. to service time Saturday at Young and Sons Funeral Home in Perryville. The funeral will be at 10 a.m. Saturday at the funeral home, with the Rev. Greg Dowler officiating. Burial will be in Yount Community cemetery...

Eldon Yamnitz, 86, of Perryville, passed away March 25, 2014.

He was born March 11, 1928 in Claryville, MO, son of Gustav and Hazel C. (Shrum) Yamnitz.

Eldon was a farmer of grain, hay and livestock. He was a member of Crossroads United Methodist Church, University of Missouri Extension Council, Farm Bureau and Perry County Nursing Home Board. He was sexton and grounds keeper for many years at the Yount Community Cemetery.

Survivors include two sons and one daughter; Mike (Beth) Yamnitz, David Yamnitz and Jennifer Yamnitz all of Perryville, two brothers and one sister; Dalvin (Viola) Yamnitz of Perryville, Alva (Lucille) Yamnitz of Normandy, MO and Viola Sharp of Perryville, five grandchildren and three great grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by his parents, daughter in law; Karen Yamnitz and brother; Ray Yamnitz.

Visitation will be held at Young & Sons Funeral Home on Friday, March 28 from 4:00 – 8:00 pm and on Saturday from 6:30 am until time of Service at 10:00 am. Funeral Service will be held on Saturday at Young & Sons Funeral Home at 10:00 am with Rev. Greg Dowler officiating. Burial in Yount Community cemetery.

Memorials are preferred for Yount Community Cemetery Association.
