Yamnitz, Rose Marie (nee Backler)

PATTON, Mo. -- Rose Marie Yamnitz, 79, of Patton died Thursday, Oct. 10, 2013, in a vehicle accident near Millersville, Mo.

She was born Nov. 4, 1933, in Fredericktown, Mo., daughter of Walter James and Leah Marie Ammon Backler. She and Harold Yamnitz were married June 10, 1951. He preceded her in death April 18, 1981.

Rose was owner/operator of Rose's Beauty Shop in Patton. She had worked at Angelica's Uniform Co. and Perry County Memorial Hospital. She enjoyed sewing, painting, yard work and anything that involved her family. She was a member of Whitewater Christian Church.

Survivors include four children, Tandra (Tom) Allen of Jackson, H. Neal (Peggy) Yamnitz of Bloomsdale, Mo., Robin (Jim) Boyd of Sedgewickville, Mo., and Reid (Robin) Yamnitz of Patton; a brother, William Backler of Springfield, Mo.; eight grandchildren, Tara (Matt) Wortmann, Tori (Dave) Mirly, Heather (Dan) Huck, Justin (Renee) Yamnitz, Kiley Yamnitz, Brandon Boyd, Holly (Jason) Floyd and Desera (Adam) Nations; 17 great-grandchildren, Ali and Audri Wortmann, Luke, Drew, Seth and Tinsley Mirly, Clayton, Paige and Gavin Huck, Lani and Chase Yamnitz, Braden Wright, Brissa Boyd, Sydnie and Colt Floyd, and Avagail and Broderick Nations.

She was preceded in death by her parents, husband and a brother, Sterling Backler.

Visitation will be from 10 a.m. until the time of service today at Young and Sons Funeral Home.

The funeral will be at 3 p.m. today at the funeral home, with the Rev. Ray White officiating. Burial will be in Yount Community Cemetery.

Memorials are preferred to Whitewater Christian Church or Yount Community Cemetery.

Funeral service will be held at Young & Sons Funeral Home on Sunday, October 13 at 3:00 pm. Visitation will be Sunday from 10:00 am until time of service at 3:00 pm with Rev. Ray White officiating. Burial in Yount Community Cemetery.

Memorials are preferred to Whitewater Christian Church or Yount Community Cemetery.
