Yates, Timothy D. "Rowdy"

Timothy D. "Rowdy" Yates of Mill Spring died Wednesday, Jan. 7, 2009 at Chesterfield.  He was 52.

He was born Oct. 10, 1956 in Ironton, the son of Norman and Alice (McCullough) Yates who survive in Piedmont.  He was married June 8, 1986 to Vicki (Statler) Yates, who survives in Mill Spring.

Other survivors include three sons, LCPL Jonas Yates, stationed at 29 Palms, Calf., PSC Ben Yates, stationed at Osan Air Force Base in South Korea and Jake Yates of Mill Spring; one brother, Mike Yates of Apollo Beach, Fla; one sister, Sherry Valenti of Chesterfield and father and Mother-in-law, Richard and Norma Statler.

Mr. Yates was a real estate broker and self-employed.  He earned a bachelor's degree in agriculture from the University of Missouri.  He was a member of Williamsville United methodist church, and Ozark Border board member, Wayne Lodge 526 AF and AM, Piedmont Chapter 347 OES.  He loved farming, hunting, fishing and his family.

In lieu of flowers donations can be made to the Williamsville United Methodist Church.

The funeral service was held Sunday, Jan. 11 at Trinity United Methodist Church in Piedmont.  Buriel was at Carson Hill Cemetery in Mill Spring.

Ruegg Funeral Homes, Inc in Piedmont provided the arrangements.
