Zahner, Agnes V. "Bernice" (nee Mowry)
A funeral will be held Saturday, April 15th for 92-year-old Agnes V. "Bernice" Zahner who died today, Thursday, April 13th, at Perry County Memorial Hospital in Perryville.
She was born February 19th, 1908 in Arkansas, the daughter of William and Rosella Mowry. She married Wallace S. Zahner on April 9th, 1929. He preceded in death.
She is survived by one daughter, Della Taylor of Ste. Genevieve.
Five sons survive: Lilburn Zahner of Hephizah, Georgia; Ralph Zahner of Lithium; and Eugene, Harold and Garrie Zahner, all of Perryville.
Five sisters survive: Alberta Cissell, Jodie Coppaway, Estelle DeWeese and Iceal Brewer, all of Perryville and Pearl Otte of St. Mary.
Twenty-nine grandchildren and several great and great, great grandchildren also survive.
One daughter, one son, three brothers and three sisters also preceded her in death.
She was a homemaker and member of the Trinity Baptist Church of St. Mary.
Visitation will be from 5-8 p.m. Friday, April 14th and 6:30-10 a.m. Saturday, April 15th at the Miller Family Funeral Home in Perryville.
A funeral service for Agnes V. "Bernice" Zahner will be held at 10 a.m. Saturday, April 15th at the Miller Family Funeral Home Chapel in Perryville. Burial will be in the Home Cemetery in Perryville. The Rev. Irvin Brooks will officiate.
Memorials may be made to the American Heart Association.
