A funeral will be held Monday, November 7, 2011 for 96-year-old Leroy R. Zahner of Perryville, who died Thursday, November 3rd, 2011 at the Independence Care Center in Perryville.
He was born February 24th, 1915 in Perryville, the son of Romanus and Anna Hoffman Zahner, who preceded him in death.
He married Marie Edmond May 7th, 1938 in Perryville. She preceded him in death.
Surviving are: Four Sons: Steve (Juanita) Zahner of Perryville; Rodney (Sandy) Zahner of Eureka, MO; Timothy Zahner of New Bloomfield, MO; Robert (Mary) Zahner of Perryville; Two Daughters: Suzanne (Chuck) Levy of Kirkwood, MO, Kathy (Wayne) Schnurbusch of Arnold, MO; One Sister: Edna Kirn of Perryville, MO, 15 Grandchildren, 24 Great Grandchildren, 2 Great Greatgrandchildren.
He was preceded in death by One sister, Two Brothers, and 3 Grandchildren.
Visitation will be from 5-8:00pm on Sunday, Nov. 6, 2011 at Miller Family Funeral Home in Perryville. Parish Prayers with the Knights of Columbus at 7:00pm. Visitation will continue on Monday, Oct. 7, 2011 from 6:30am-9:50am.
A Funeral Mass for 96-year-old Leroy R. Zahner of Perryville will be held at 10:00am Monday, Nov. 7th, 2011 at St. Vincent de Paul Catholic Church in Perryville. The Rev. Milton Ryan, CM officiating.
You may make memorials to Southeast Hospice or St. Vincent de Paul School System.
Burial in St. Bonafice Cemetery.
Miller Family Funeral Home in charge of arrangements.
