Zimmerman, Mary Helen (nee James)
Mary Helen Zimmerman, 95, of Marble Hill died Thursday, Aug, 18, 2005, at Elder Care of Marble Hill.
She was born Nov. 7, 1909, at Zalma, Mo., daughter of Henry Levi and Minnie Belle Thomas James. She and Mason Dale Englehart were married Jan. 7, 1933. He died in 1950. She and Clinton Zimmerman were married in July 1958. He died in 1991.
Zimmerman attended Southeast Mo State Normal School in Cape Girardeau, Mo., Southwest Mo Teachers College in Springfield, Mo., and Carthage Teachers College at Carthage, Mo., She taught school at Gipsy, Glenallen and Prospect Schools. She also worked at Wicecarver's Store, ASC Office, and Farm Bureau, all in Marble Hill. She was a member of Marble Hill Bible Chapel.
Survivors include a son, Dr. John Englehart of Marble Hill; two daughters, Barbara McDermott of Phoeniz, Ariz. and Mary Cartwright of Richardson, Texas; nine grandchildren; and 19 great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by two sisters and four brothers.
Funeral service was Monday, Aug. 22, at the funeral chapel with the Rev. Gerald Huff and Andrew Englehart officiating. Burial was in Baker Cemetery near Marble Hill.
