Zoellner, Floyd R., Jr.

SILVER LAKE, Mo. -- Floyd R. "Junior" Zoellner, 61, of Silver Lake died Sunday, Dec. 19, 2004, at his home.

He was born Aug. 13, 1943, in Perry County, Mo., son of Floyd A. and Helen Keller Zoellner. He and Donna D. Whistler were married April 15, 1967.

Zoellner was retired from General Motors Corp. He was a member of St. Rose of Lima Catholic Church at Silver Lake, American Legion Post 133 and Knights of Columbus Council 1263.

He served in the U.S. Army.

Survivors include his wife; two daughters, Shannon Lamb of O'Fallon, Mo., Stacie Berkbuegler of Perryville, Mo.; a son, Shawn Zoellner of Silver Lake; three sisters, Shirley Abel of Dittmer, Mo., Mary Ann Dodd and Alberta Winschel of Perryville; six brothers, Gilbert, Albert, Joseph and Sylvester Zoellner, all of Perryville, Ronald Zoellner of Maryland Heights, Mo., Merlin Zoellner of Flint, Mich.; and four grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by his parents and a sister.

Friends may call at Young and Sons Funeral Home in Perryville from 4 to 9 today, and Wednesday from 6:30 to 9:15 a.m. The Catholic wake will be at 6 tonight, followed by the American Legion wake at 6:15. The rosary will be recited at 8:30 a.m. Wednesday. Funeral Mass will be at 10 a.m. Wednesday at St. Rose of Lima Church at Silver Lake. The Revs. Kevin Fausz and Al Hoernig will officiate. Burial will be in St. Rose of Lima Cemetery, with military graveside rites by American Legion Post 133.

A funeral will be held Wednesday, December 22nd, 2004 for 61-year-old Floyd R. "Junior" Zoellner of Silver Lake, who died Sunday, December 19th at his residence.

He was born August 13th, 1943 in Perry County, the son of Floyd A. and Helen (Keller) Zoellner who both preceded him in death.

He married Donna D. Whistler on April 15th, 1967. She survives in Silver Lake.

Survivors also include: two daughters and sons in law, Shannon and Marcus Lamb of O'Fallon and Stacie and Nicholas Berkbuegler of Perryville; one son and daughter in law, Shawn and Mishael Zoellner of Silver Lake; six brothers and sisters in law, Gilbert and Gerry Zoellner of Perryville, Ronald and Rosalie Zoellner of Maryland Heights, Albert and Mary Zoellner of Perryville, Joseph and Judy Zoellner of Perryville, Sylvester and Rose Zoellner of Perryville and Merlin and Ann Zoellner of Flint, Michigan; three sisters and two brothers in law, Shirley and Norman Abel of Ditmer, Alberta and Douglas Winschel of Perryville and Mary Ann Dodd of Perryville; and four grandchildren, Lane and Evan Berkbuegler, Gabrielle Zoellner and Savannah Lamb.

A sister, Carol Ann, also preceded him in death.

He was a member of the St. Rose of Lima Catholic Church in Silver Lake and was in the U.S. Army. He was retired from General Motors.

Visitation will be 4-9 p.m. Tuesday, December 21st and 6:30-9:15 a.m. Wednesday, December 22nd at the Young and Sons Funeral Home in Perryville.

A Catholic wake will be held at 6 p.m. Tuesday, an American Legion wake will be held at 6:30 p.m. Tuesday and the rosary will be recited Wednesday at 8:30 a.m., all at the funeral home.

A funeral mass for 61-year-old Floyd R. Zoellner of Silver Lake will be celebrated at 10 a.m. Wednesday, December 22nd at the St. Rose of Lima Catholic Church in Silver Lake. The Revs. Kevin Fausz, CM, and Al Hoernig, CM, will concelebrate. Burial will be in the church cemetery.

The American Legion Post No. 133 will provide military graveside services.

Memorials may be made to the donor's choice.
